What is High Performance Sports?
High-Performance represents the pinnacle of the sports pyramid and is focused on helping athletes excel, compete, and sustain their performances at the highest levels of competition.
The processes involved in “High Performance Sports” requires involvement of several organisations and stakeholders to collaborate and intentionally create opportunities for competitions, training in specialized facilities, coaching and skill development, talent identification, selection, development and transition to the highest levels of competition.
THE NEED OF THE HOUR
In order to bring a new world-beating era of Indian sports, we must adopt a more integrated approach to create sports system which will consistently develop world-class athletes across all sports.
In order to turn this vision into reality, ELMS Sports Foundation - mentored by Olympic Task Force members, national badminton coach Pulella Gopichand and India's first individual Olympic gold medallist, Abhinav Bindra - currently offers the following programs:
